PRIVACY POLICY

1. Privacy policy

The protection of your personal data is of particular concern to us. We therefore process your data exclusively on the basis of the legal regulations (DSGVO, TKG 2003). In this data protection information, we inform you about the most important aspects of data processing within the framework of our website.

When you visit our website, your IP address, start and end of the session will be recorded for the duration of this session. This is due to technical reasons and thus represents a legitimate interest in the sense of Art 6 Paragraph 1 lit f DSGVO. Unless otherwise regulated below, we do not process this data further.

2. Contact with us

If you contact us via the form on the website or via e-mail, your data will be stored for six months for the purpose of processing your inquiry and in case of follow-up questions. We will not pass on this data without your consent.

3. Cookies

Our website uses so-called cookies. These are small text files that are stored on your end device with the help of the browser. They do not cause any damage.

We use cookies to make our offer user-friendly. Some cookies remain stored on your terminal device until you delete them. They enable us to recognize your browser on your next visit.

If you do not wish this, you can set up your browser to inform you about the setting of cookies and to allow this only in individual cases.

If you deactivate cookies, the functionality of our website may be limited.

Of course, the website can, in principle, also be viewed without cookies. Internet browsers are regularly set to accept cookies. You can deactivate the use of cookies at any time via the settings of your browser. You can also prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) to Google and the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link: Browser Add On to deactivate Google Analytics. Please note that individual functions of our website will not work if you have deactivated the use of cookies.

4. Server Log File

We use logs for statistical evaluation of website accesses. These logs contain the URLs and IP addresses accessed.

We process your personal data, as far as necessary, for the duration of the entire business relationship (from the initiation, through processing, to the termination of a contract) as well as beyond that in accordance with legal, statutory or contractual storage and documentation obligations.

5. Contact form

After sending the contact form, the personal data entered by you will be processed by the person

responsible for data protection for the purpose of processing your request based on your consent given by sending the form.

There is no legal or contractual obligation to provide the personal data. Failure to provide your personal data merely means that you will not be able to submit your request and we will not be able to process it.

You have the right to revoke your consent at any time by written notification, without affecting the legality of the processing carried out on the basis of the consent until revocation.

6. Newsletter

When registering to receive my newsletter, the data you provide will be used solely for this purpose. Subscribers may also be informed by email about circumstances relevant to the service or registration (for example, changes to the newsletter offer or technical circumstances).

For an effective registration, I need a valid e-mail address. In order to verify that a registration is actually made by the owner of an e-mail address, I use the „double-opt-in“ procedure. For this purpose, I log the subscription to the newsletter, the sending of a confirmation email and the receipt of the response requested herewith. No further data is collected. The data is used exclusively for sending the newsletter and is deleted within four weeks.

The newsletter dispatch and the opt-in procedure are carried out via: https://mailchimp.com/legal/privacy/.

You can revoke your consent to the storage of your personal data and its use for the newsletter dispatch at any time. There is a corresponding link in each newsletter. In addition, you can inform us of your wish to do so at any time via the contact option provided at the end of this data protection notice.

Messages within the framework of the contractual relationship with the user do not belong to promotional information. This includes the sending of technical information, information on payment processing, queries about orders and comparable messages.

The newsletters contain so-called tracking pixels. A tracking pixel is a miniature graphic that is embedded in such e-mails that are sent in HTML format to enable log file recording and log file analysis. This allows a statistical evaluation of the success or failure of online marketing campaigns. Based on the embedded tracking pixel, my enterprise may see if and when an e-mail was opened by a data subject, and which links contained in the e-mail were called up.

Such personal data collected for the tracking pixel contained in the newsletter are stored and analysed by the controller in order to optimise the newsletter dispatch and to better adapt the content of future newsletters to the interests of the data subjects. This personal data will not be disclosed to third parties. Data subjects are entitled to revoke the declaration of consent given in this regard at any time. After a revocation, this personal data will be deleted by the controller. A withdrawal from the receipt of the newsletter is automatically considered as a revocation.

The storage of Google Analytics cookies is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the analysis of user behavior in order to optimize both their website and their advertising.

More information on how Google Analytics handles user data can be found in the Google privacy policy: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=de.

IP anonymization

We have activated the IP anonymization function on this website. This means that your IP address will be truncated by Google within member states of the European Union or in other signatory states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area before it is transmitted to the USA. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transferred to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on the website activities and to provide further services to the website operator in connection with the use of the website and the Internet. The IP address transmitted by your browser within the scope of Google Analytics is not combined with other data from Google.

Browser Plugin

You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser, however please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website. You can also prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) to Google and the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link:  https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de

Objection to data collection

You can generally prevent the collection of your user data on our website by setting „Do Not Track“ in your web browser. Our website takes into account the „Do Not Track“ signal, which your web browser then sends to all websites.

You can find more information on how Google Analytics handles user data in the Google privacy policy:  https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=de

Demographic characteristics in Google Analytics

This website uses the „demographic features“ feature of Google Analytics. This allows reports to be generated that contain information about the age, gender, and interests of the site visitors. This data comes from interest-based advertising by Google as well as from visitor data from third parties. This data cannot be assigned to a specific person. You can disable this feature at any time in the ad settings in your Google Account or generally prohibit the collection of your data by Google Analytics as described in the „Objection to data collection“ section.

8. Google Web Fonts

This site uses so-called web fonts, which are provided by Google, for the uniform display of fonts. When you call up a page, your browser loads the required web fonts into its browser cache to display texts and fonts correctly.

For this purpose, the browser you are using must connect to the servers of Google. This enables Google to know that this website has been accessed via your IP address. The use of Google Web Fonts is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the uniform display of the font on their website. If a corresponding consent has been requested (e.g. consent to the storage of cookies), the processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a DSGVO; the consent can be revoked at any time.

If your browser does not support web fonts, a standard font will be used by your computer.

Further information about Google Web Fonts can be found at https://developers.google.com/fonts/faq and in the privacy policy of Google: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=de.

9. Data processing

The data processing is based on the legal provisions of § 96 para. 3 TKG and Art 6 para. 1 lit a (consent) and/or f (legitimate interest) of the DSGVO.

Our concern in the sense of the DSGVO (legitimate interest) is the improvement of our offer and our web presence. Since the privacy of our users is important to us, the user data is pseudonymized. See IP-anonymization.

10. Your rights

With regard to your data stored with us, you are entitled to the rights of information, correction, deletion, restriction, data transferability, revocation and objection. If you believe that the processing of your data violates data protection law or your data protection rights have otherwise been violated, you can complain to us  contact@caroline-rotter-consulting.com or to the data protection authority.
